Apartment #219

New apartment. Just me and the bear :)

studio. large walk in closet. new carpets. wanna-be granite counter tops. pool. dog run. hot neighbor on the left. potsmoker neighbors on the right.

It's small, but its eclectic and affordable and semi-awkward. Just my style.

My bed is in what should be the dining area, because I HAVE to have my bed under the ceiling fan or I would die. And yes, Im going to buy a couch/futon for visitors. And I have a BIG tv.

Life is good :)

Dear little sister... who's ex is a bag of douche,

Introduction: Here is some advice I gave my lil sis who dated this guy... She told him she wanted to keep things pretty casual (seeing that she just got out of a 6 year relationship). On one of their dates that they went on, she drove and her car got towed. He insisted he pay for the tow charge. Later when things started getting too serious, she told him she needed to take a few steps back. Bitter and what he thinks is a broken heart (after only a few months of dating) he insists she pays him back. He stalks her financial endeavors via facebook by keeping track of the places she check-ins so that he can call her out on all the money she spends instead of paying him for something that was never consensually agreed to be paid back.

Ohhhhhh man. This is ridiculous!
For starters, I like your word choice when responding to his request..."What a fair weather friend you turned out to be, and a tacky-ass one at that." NICEWORK sis.
Second, Yes, he is out of line. Reminds me of something (insert ex BF's name) would do. Bastard. He is just bitter that you don't like him anymore. Instead of trying to be content with being your friend, and trying to be mature, he is trying to make you hurt in any way he can... It seems immature, but I think you need to de-friend him on facebook. Other wise he is going to know all of your business.
Also, I honestly don't think I would pay him!! Its a life lesson he should learn. Not everything last forever, so next time he pays for something he should realize it he isn't buying your love. Tell him he was being a good friend and thank him. It would be in his best interest to let his balls drop, go through puberty, mature a little, and move the f*** on. Hearts get broken. That's what life is about. Girls break your heart, boys break your heart. Your cats dies... and your heart breaks. You get fired... your heart breaks, you change your plan of attack on life.. and yes your heart breaks again. NOWHERE is there a signed contract when dating someone that says it is going to last forever. And nowhere is there a contract that says he would loan you money and you would pay him back. So him putting this 'payment plan' on you and monitoring how you spend your money is a joke.
I would ignore him and try to cut him out of your life as much as possible. You have grown more mentally, financially and emotionally than most 22 year year olds. So he can f*** himself. He is just trying to jab you where you are most sensitive. Just have confidence in your self and remind yourself you are not a bad person no matter what he says.
Keep on Keepin on. I love you!!!!
Sincerely,
Don't mess with my little sister or I'll kick your ass

Seattle

Had an amazing weekend in Seattle with the boy. I had so much fun hanging out with his college buddy and just being silly together. I like hanging out with boys... they are usually pretty innapropriate and thats what I like. It was hard to keep up at times, but I think I did ok.

The plan is to run away together once a month... next stop Disneyland?!

this is exactly how i want to live:

It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing.

It doesn’t interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dream, for the adventure of being alive.

It doesn’t interest me what planets are squaring your moon. I want to know if you have touched the centre of your own sorrow, if you have been opened by life’s betrayals or have become shrivelled and closed from fear of further pain.

I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own, without moving to hide it, or fade it, or fix it.

I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own; if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful, be realistic, remember the limitations of being human.

It doesn’t interest me if the story you are telling me is true. I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself. If you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul. If you can be faithless and therefore trustworthy.

I want to know if you can see Beauty even when it is not pretty every day. And if you can source your own life from its presence.

I want to know if you can live with failure, yours and mine, and still stand at the edge of the lake and shout to the silver of the full moon, ‘Yes.’

It doesn’t interest me to know where you live or how much money you have. I want to know if you can get up after the night of grief and despair, weary and bruised to the bone and do what needs to be done to feed the children.

It doesn’t interest me who you know or how you came to be here. I want to know if you will stand in the centre of the fire with me and not shrink back.

It doesn’t interest me where or what or with whom you have studied. I want to know what sustains you from the inside when all else falls away.

I want to know if you can be alone with yourself and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments.

Operation: Bikini Body

Lately I have been uncomfortable in my own body. I've been wearing summer dresses because most of my pants are too tight :(

I had been slacking on working out for months, I've been busy moving, and eating out wayyy to much. I went from snowy Reno weather to Phoenix pool party weather and I am very unprepared.

I have been consistantly running at least 3 days a week for the past 3 weeks. I have noticed that I am more toned, but I still havn't lost any inches. I think I need to switch things up a bit and give my body a kickstart! oh, aaaaannnd I'm visiting Mr. Clayton in Seattle in 10 days!! So, hopefully I can drop a pound... or five :-/

So here it goes... Liquid Diet for 72 hours!!! + running 5x a week.
See you soon Bikini Body!

Go OVERBOARD on birthdays...

Save money, and be wise, but dont forget you can always make more money, but you can't always make more memories... [Instead of getting a cute place with expensive rent, I'm going to get a cheap place, travel the world and decorate it with pictures of the memories]

Skinny dip at every appropriate opportunity :)

Let you heart break and love it <3 ...[It is a good sign, having a broken heart. It means we have tried for something. ~Elizabeth Gilbert]

Things that eeeerk me

1. People who are talkers and not Do-ers
Lets be real, if you have been talking about doing something for over a year and haven't done it yet, you probably never will.

2. If you are a guy, don't text me more than three times in a row with out me responding.
Isn't this common sense? Guys, if she likes you, TRUST ME, she will be looking at her phone waiting for you to text her and she WILL text you back.
If I haven't responded to one of your three texts;
A. I'm not interested
OR
B. I'm not interested

3. Since when did the verb 'talking' become synonyms with having sex?
If someone asks me "I heard you and Bob are talking" It seems pretty ridiculous that If i say "Ya" I get this oddly intrigued look like I'm some kinda of skank. So now I will respond, "If by talking you REALLY mean having conversation via text like I do with most people then yes... but if you mean having sex? Definitely not. Thanks for asking"

4. People who can not admit that they don't know, or that they are wrong.
This mostly is a syndrome found in the male species especially when dealing with car problems.

5. Shy people.
I just don't get it. I would so much rather people think I am weird, than think I am quiet and boring!! The ONE exception to this rule is my sister Mandy. She isn't shy, she's just not as loud as most. But when everyone quiets down just enough, she is weirder than anyone I know :)

6. LOL
Dont say it unless you are actually laughing out loud. Kids now-a-days use it after every sentance. No you are not laughing out loud and neither am I. LOL.

I'm pretty good at being a girl

Things that make me happy:
Pretty nails
... So I have gotten my nails done professionally since I was 17 years old. I recently decided to be less high maintenance and save money and paint my own nails. I didn't realize how much of a challenge this would be!! You use your hands for EVERYTHING!! and I cannot stand it if my hands are out there, for people to see, when they have ugly cuticles or chipped nail polish. So my less high maintenance plan didn't work, because now I paint my nails three times a week... But I'm saving $80 a month that I would be spending on gel fills :)

Margaritas...This is my family's drink of choice, we know how to put down margaritas! I'm majorly missing midweek lunch dates at Miguel's with Mom & Dad :(

Miss Estee Bear... She is my baby and best friend

Coffee/Chai Tea Lattes... This makes me so happy. I love relaxing with someone special over a yummy hot beverage. Soothes my soul :)

Hair Accessories... especially feathers!

Who Wouldn't Want This?!

I am enjoying my stay at the Gunters home. First of all their home is beautiful; my favorite part is the custom pool. Secondly Shelly is an amazing cook; she makes yummy dinner and then there is always leftovers for my lunch the next day.

BUT one of my very favorite things about living there (besides getting to share a room with my bff Kenzie) is our brother Derek Gunter. Now this kid is one of the funniest/weirdest/most scarcastic kids I have ever met. We are constantly playing tricks and making fun of each other.

Last week he offered to share a bite of his Cafe Rio with me. (If you know anything about me then you would know how much I LOVE Cafe Rio).

As I was taking an extremely large bite becuase I wanted to make it a good one, sourcream and quac got all over and around my mouth while beans and rice were actually spilling out. I treated it as if it was my first bite of food in days. As I looked over at Derek with my cheeks full of burrito he said to me with a disgusted look on his face, "how are you still single?!" I tried to quickly say something mean back but I couldn't help but laugh at how repulsing I looked.

In humilty I was about to say, "Good call Derek" But I still stuck to my guns and replied (with extreme arm and body motion), "WHO WOULDNT WANT THIS?!"

Am I right? or am I right?

Fun in the Sun

So I have officially survived my first 12 days of Phoenix... and I do think it is pretty amazing. The weather right now is perfect. Perfect for morning and evening runs, perfect for laying out by the pool and perfect for summer dresses.

My job is pretty great. Im surrounded by alot of educated people who are teaching me a lot. My boss's boss pulled me in his office and told me, "your a smart, sharp, creative girl. Run with it"... kinda made my day :) My job is the perfect combination of learning tons of new things, but still having enough of my own experience and knowledge to impress people here and there.

I have also made some fun new friends!! Most of which are friends of my friends in Reno. So it's definitly comforting to be able to tell stories and talk about people we both know. I am missing my Estee bear pup more than anything. I can wait to find a place with a yard so I can show her our new home. I know she is going to love it here.

I am loving the support I am getting from my family and friends back home. I'm going to do BIG things in this life :)
